More bands to do on the saturday, walked my little legs off! So today I covered Adebisi Shank, Arcade Fire, Bipolar Empire, Crazy P, Death In Vegas, Group Love, I Am Kloot, John Grant, Le Galaxie, Micah P Hinson, Midlake, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark OMD, Public Enemy, Rarely Seen Above Ground, The Aftermath, The Jezabels, The Riptide Movement, The Undertones, Toots And The Maytals.
As a pre-cursor to this years Electric Picnic festival, I have in my wisdom decided to delve into the Hot Press archives and compile the best live shots I have taken from this most wonderful of festivals. This was the second outing, and the first over two days, if memory serves, and my second ever festival I shot. Looking back on the images, you can see I was still learning a bit. Didn’t help we had no decent lenses, or cameras, but considering that, got a few interesting shots. The haul was much lower then last year, but I think I was lazier in those days! But the official line was that there was actually less bands…
Okay, so this year I shot Arcade Fire (still by far their best gig in Ireland IMO), Bob Mould, Clor, Fatboy Slim, Flaming Lips, James Blunt, Kraftwerk, LCD Soundsystem, Redneck Manifesto, Soulwax/2manydjs, The Kills, Lemonjelly and Nick cave & The Bad Seeds
